As part of our Climate Action Week, we had the pleasure of hearing what our councils have done so far in response to the climate crisis, what they intend to do to meet emission reduction targets, and what is needed in adaptation and just transition.
We then discussed how we can continue to work together on the largest deliberate social transformation ever undertaken by humans.
Nelson City Council was represented by Rachel Pemberton and Kate Fulton, while Tasman District Council was represented by Mayor Tim King, Anna Gerraty and Dianna Worthy.
We thank them warmly for participating in this exercise. We also thank the public for the quality of their questions.
