Learn how to make compost!
May 26 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
KohaJoin us for an interactive hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to plan, build, and maintain a compost heap.
Organic nursery operator Rex Hunt will demonstrate how you can make your own compost in a short period of time. He takes a science-based approach and will explain the difference between a hot compost (short period) and cold compost (longer period). You will get to see one-year-old compost, one-week-old compost and will make a compost pile on the day, with a handout to take away. Come with your questions, and any problems you may have experienced.
Rex has run an organic plant nursery since 1980 and has focused on making his own compost.
