A six week introduction to organic FOOD gardening & garden design.

– soil life & compost methods
– permaculture principles & thinking
– “pests & diseases”
– propagation including seed sowing & raising, cuttings
– crop rotation & companion planting

Ami has a wide range of experience to share. This course aims to support your organic food gardening & answer your questions.
It is a low-tech course that focuses on face-to-face teaching, accompanied by handouts.

Where: Waimarama Community Organic Gardens (WCOG)

Start: Thursday May 30th       11am to 12:30pm

Dates: May 30th, June  6th, 13th, 20th, 27th & July 4th, with a garden visit on 7th of July

Cost for 6 week course $90.00 for general public and $72.00 for WCOG plot holders & regular volunteers

(Course will only run when the minimum number of 10 paid students is reached)

Refunds

Refunds available 

• Students will receive a full refund of fees when a course is cancelled by the Tutor due to insufficient bookings. (Cancellation will be notified – usually two days before the course is due to commence).
• If you are unable to attend a course, and provide at least 48 hours notice before the course starts, you will be refunded your fee less a $10 administration charge.

No Refunds

• There is no credit or refund given if a class is unable to be held due to health and safety issues or events beyond our control (eg civil emergency).
• No refund is given once a course has started and in this situation you cannot transfer your payment to another course.

Courses will run only when sufficient bookings of 10 are received.
