Come and help the Maire Stream Guardians/Nurtururs during their next working bee.

The Maire Stream project is about Earths nature. Flora and Fauna. Being good ancestors for future generations.

It is about a monitoring, but also restoration project of a stream which though it does have Kokopu fish and eels, is  very low on macro-invertebrates-food for fish and needs our care.

For the working bee organised during Climate Action Week, on the Sunday 28th of May, meet at the grassy area above 41 Highview Drive – Tahunanui.

Please sign in – Read Health & Safety – Spray soles of footwear with red Sanitiser – Rinse hands with Sanitiser provided, and then follow the signs and walk down the 4×4 track to the Maire Stream Restoration Area-view picture. 😊

Wear sturdy footwear, long sleeves, long trousers and bring any of the following; secateurs, lobbers, clippers, garden fork, gloves, hat and water to drink. Prickle guard gloves provided.
