Victory Community Working Bee and Afternoon Tea in the Mārakai
May 27 @ 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm
FreeJoin the team in the Victory Community Garden for a working bee and afternoon tea to celebrate the Climate Action Festival.
Come along to hear about our newly developed vision for the garden that supports people to garden together.
See our community compost system in use or help tend our garden beds.
Then enjoy some homemade and locally produced refreshments with others in the relaxed surroundings of the mārakai.
The Victory Mārakai is a place for people to grow together. Our garden offers a place to connect with others and space to grow food together. Sharing the mahi and the knowledge supports people to grow their own food. Our working bees usually include compost making so that helpers can see the full cycle in action. From food scraps to the compost and back to the garden to make more nutrient rich food.
